Slobber Straps

Slobber straps are pieces of leather that you put on your bit (or halter) and attach the reins through.  
They help to aid some weight to your reins. The design and weight distributes rein pressure evenly through the bit allowing the horse to sense slight changes in pressure through the rein.
Slobber straps are used to improve communication between horse and rider, resulting in a softer horse.
